Meet Carly

I am a Yoga Therapist who helps people manage stress, reduce pain, and increase joy in their lives. My extensive education and training include study of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, yoga philosophy, and the pathology of specific conditions, which guide safe practice. I am enthusiastic about equipping my clients with knowledge and tools which empower them to improve physical, mental, and emotional imbalances through individualized yogic practices.

I am passionate about sharing therapeutic yoga techniques and specialize in providing lifestyle tools and resources for mental health and addiction recovery.  My recovery began in 2015 and my yoga practices have been an integral part of my ongoing healing.

Yoga Therapy & the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual Model

One of the primary assessment models used in Yoga Therapy is called the The Panchamaya Kosha Model which consists of five koshas, or sheaths. This framework parallels the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model to address an individual’s needs at every dimension and help guide them toward whole person wellness.

Each sheath is interconnected to all the others, so an imbalance within one layer, affects all the others. Reflecting and understanding all dimensions of oneself can illuminate ways of moving, breathing, thinking, feeling, behaving, and living that enhance or impede us from a healthy and whole state of being. We are multidimensional humans and the physical body is just the tip of the iceberg!
